Advanced Dentistry and Orthodontic Centre now open!

Queensway Dental Clinic in Billingham is celebrating the opening of its new Advanced Dentistry and Orthodontic Centre.

Queensway has been a community-focussed practice since starting out in 1994. It now provides over 100 jobs to local people and continues to be a driving force in the regeneration of the town centre. Significant investment has been made to expand the clinic over the past 18 years it has been in Billingham town centre and the new Advanced Dentistry and Orthodontic Centre marks the latest investment.

The Centre includes new surgeries, a recovery room and a bigger reception area, where clients can receive services provided by the Clinic such as dental implants, All-on-4™ Invisalign® and much more. As a result of the new Centre, six members of staff have been employed from the area including a receptionist and five dental nurses.

The Clinic has also opened an Oral Health Promotions Room in order to provide a free oral health advice service for NHS and private patients wishing to prevent the development of oral disease.

Dr Paul Averley, senior partner, Queensway Dental Clinic, commented: “Since we first opened our practice we have been committed to Billingham by providing jobs, regenerating empty buildings and investing in the training of our staff who predominantly come from the area.

“The past few years have been really exciting and we have worked hard to ensure that our patients have everything they need from us. As well as creating our new Advanced Dentistry and Orthodontic Centre, we opened a new Dental Laboratory and a Dental Education Centre this year which allows us to hold events and train dental professionals from throughout the region. Both these facilities are based in Billingham.

“We have experienced an increased demand for advanced and more complex dental services, which convinced us that the time was right to open the new centre. We still offer our existing NHS patients the dental care they need, as well as being able to provide around 15,000 referred patients, from other practices around the region, with a vital NHS service for conscious sedation, specialist orthodontics and specialist oral surgery. In addition to our NHS dentistry services we offer patients the option to choose private treatment with us for dental implants or cosmetic dentistry which is not funded by the NHS.

Queensway will be holding an open evening at the new Centre on 11th October which is open to the general public who would like to find out more about the procedures and services available to them.
