We are pleased to announce that after a recent inspection, Queensway Dental Clinic and Queensway Orthodontics successfully met the standards of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) with no action necessary.

During the inspection we were judged against national standards that people can expect when receiving health or social care.

The report from Queensway Dental Clinic informs that the inspector:

Carried out a visit on 30 January 2014, looked at the personal care or treatment records of people who use the service, observed how people were being cared for and checked how people were cared for at each stage of their treatment and care. They talked with people who use the service and talked with staff.

All standards were met and the inspector’s judgement was as follows:

1. Standards of treating people with respect and involving them in their care

Inspectors Judgement

People’s privacy and dignity and were respected and people’s views and experiences were taken into account in the way the service was provided and delivered in relation to their treatment.

2. Standards of providing care, treatment and support that meets people’s needs

Inspectors Judgement

Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people’s safety and welfare.

3. Standards of caring for people safely and protecting them from harm

Inspectors Judgement

Providers of services comply with the requirements of regulation 12, with regard to the Code of Practice for health and adult social care on the prevention and control of infections and related guidance.

4. Standards of staffing

We found there were effective recruitment and selection processes in place.

5. Standards of quality and suitability of management

Inspectors Judgement

There was an effective complaints system available. Comments and complaints people made were responded to appropriately.
