Dental Lab first in the UK to be invited to test new software.

Queensway Dental Laboratory has been invited to further test the latest Nobel Biocare scanning software which has seen them become the first in the UK to use the technology.

Queensway Dental Laboratory was previously one of nine laboratories worldwide to beta test the scanning hardware and software before the official market release in July 2018.

This software update allows a fully digital workflow therefore reducing scanning time for lab technicians.

Richard Elliott, managing director at Queensway Dental Laboratory, said: “We’re thrilled to join only eight laboratories worldwide in beta testing the DTX Studio software. This has been truly a unique experience, and the fact we have been given the opportunity to be the first to test the software shows the care and quality Nobel Biocare put into the development of their new technology.”

“Traditionally, we would print models and scan them into the system, however this opportunity means we can import intra-oral scans (IO) into the system and design frameworks before the models are printed. This allows more time for the team to focus on the creative/ceramic aspect which is still very much at the forefront of our work.”

“Queensway Dental Laboratory is the most prolific DTX Studio software user in the world and this is thanks to the great work provided over in the clinic bringing more of a bespoke and tailored experience for all patients.”
