Our Christmas Donation to the Billingham Foodbank!

Christmas is a time for giving, spending time with loved ones and creating happy memories. It’s also important to remember those for whom Christmas isn’t always an easy time and who may need the help of a charity over the festive period.

This year, instead of sending out Christmas cards to our patients we have decided to use the money we would spend on cards and stamps to help us to support a local charity.

13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK. Along with lots of other foodbanks across the country, the Billingham Foodbank provides emergency food, clothing and toiletries to support local people in crisis.

With the support of Queensway Orthodontics and Queensway Dental Laboratory we have purchased over 200 toothbrushes and toothpastes for adults and over 300 toothbrushes and toothpastes for children to donate to the foodbank. Along with £200 worth of groceries including long life milk, tinned soups, pasta and cereals which will go towards providing 3 days’ worth of emergency food for people who may need to access the Foodbank over the festive season and in to the New Year.

Our team will be heading out this week to deliver the items to the Foodbank, so keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter  pages for photographs.
