Queensway nominated for the North East’s Best Place to Work Awards – run by The Journal!

Proud to Offer a Great Place to Work!

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for the North East’s Best Place to Work Awards, run by The Journal!

The Journal is on the hunt for the 50 best workplaces in the North East of England as part of its Invest in the North East campaign. It recognises some of the top businesses in the area that demonstrate a keen commitment to creating the most effective working environments for their staff. Awards are available for small, medium, large and not-for-profit companies, as well as for best office, best workplace perk, top community involvement project and best boss.

Queensway Dental thought we’d enter the running this year and we are thrilled to have made the shortlist of finalists in the Best Medium Company category.

In our entry, we were asked an array of questions about how we operate. We believe our accreditations speak for themselves, as we are one of the only dental practices in the UK to have been awarded the Investors in People Gold accolade and the only one to receive the North East Better Health Bronze Award. We work hard to ensure a good environment for all our team, offering excellent training and professional development opportunities. We pay particular attention to relieving stress, encouraging healthy eating, mental and physical health, providing access to additional support and facilitating a healthy life-work balance. We offer all our professionals various added bonuses throughout the year that ensure they are rewarded for the amazing hard work they do caring for our patients.

Our application also asked about our community engagement, which is something we are very proud of at Queensway. Between our Fluoride Varnish in School scheme, our mascots Tilly & Toby oral health education programmes and a supporter of Kidscape the anti-bullying charity, we relish the opportunity to get involved with the community. We are also proud to work with and contribute to Daisy Chain (a charity that supports families affected by Autism), Greece Syrian refugees Mission, Billingham Foodbank and the Butterwick Hospice, among many other great causes.

As we await the final results of the North East Best Place to Work Awards (to be announced on the 27th June) we would like to thank everyone who has helped make Queensway Dental the great place to work that it is today!
