Smile update | August 2022
Welcome to Queensway Dental’s August newsletter.
Aug 29, 2022
As the school holidays move into full swing, we hope you can take some time with your families and enjoy the summer.
The sun has certainly been shining at Queensway Dental and we continue to remain very busy doing what we love to do; creating and maintaining healthy, beautiful smiles.
Following the return of our face-to-face consultations, we have been delighted to see so many fresh new faces through our doors. We take great satisfaction from the journeys all our patients go on, both those having extensive dental work, and those who make positive changes in their approach to oral health and the way they care for their mouths.
We love to keep in touch with our patients and see them show off their smiles and so we run a monthly social media selfie prize draw for patient’s to be in with a chance of winning a £50 shopping voucher (of their choice) simply for tagging @queenswaysmiles in their smiling photos!
We hope you enjoy this month’s newsletter and we look forward to seeing you soon.

As corporate sponsors of the Teesside Family Foundation, we were delighted to visit one of the fantastic organisations benefitting from our funds – Billingham Boxing Academy. 🥊
The academy has received a total of £1,250 from the charity to enable it to run programmes like Knockout Depression, which supports people with mental health, Parkinson’s Punchers for people with Parkinson’s Disease and Golden Gloves for the over 40s.
Here at Queensway Dental, as a Captain James Cook Partner of the Teesside Family Foundation, we have pledged a minimum of £10,000 to support the charity in its work in 2022.
Emma recently accompanied Dr Paul Howlett, partner of Queensway Dental and Vicky Philipson, Business Development Manager on a visit to the boxing club.
Dr Howlett said: “The charity work we do is all about how we can support the local community, which gives so much to us. The beauty of working with The Teesside Family Foundation is they enable us to engage with projects right on our doorstep and Billingham Boxing Academy is just one example of that. The academy is using boxing as a framework to help people with mental and physical health issues and it’s great to see those people being made part of a community – it’s a really great project to be involved in supporting.”
We are delighted to announce Dr Jane Gosney, who is based at our Billingham practice has been shortlisted for the finals of the Clinical Dentistry Awards 2022 in the Best Young Aesthetic Dentist (North) category.
The awards will take place next month in London and we can’t wait to see if she brings the accolade and trophy back to Queensway.
We are sure you will join us in wishing her the very best of luck!
