Teesside Orthodontist invited to join industry network and lead the way in invisible braces

A specialist orthodontist in Teesside has been invited to join The Invisible Orthodontist (TIO) network, one of only 25 members across the UK and the only member from the north east.

Dr. Guy Deeming from Queensway Orthodontics has joined the group of specialist orthodontists leading the way in providing virtually invisible orthodontic treatments such as Invisalign® as an option for patients.

Invisalign® is the leading brand in orthodontics and has been used to treat over two million patients worldwide, remaining a popular choice with celebrities and the general public alike.

As a member of TIO, Guy and the Queensway Orthodontic team can now further develop and share their expertise using the Invisalign® appliance – and offer even more to patients across the region who want to achieve a winning smile without the need for visible fixed braces.

Patients will now further benefit from the expertise and latest techniques gained as a result of Guy joining TIO, with a wide range of support services on offer. Working with other members of TIO, Guy now participates and contributes to training and networking events, as well as continuing to develop the skills of the Queensway Orthodontic team of nurses and orthodontic therapists.

Guy said: “I am thrilled to be part of the TIO as it is a wonderful way to develop the practice to realise the full potential of the Invisalign® appliance for patients, some of whom may have been told they are not suitable for the treatment in the past.

“I am delighted to represent the north east region within TIO as it becomes a more active and well-known brand within the orthodontic community and general public.”

The benefits to patients choosing Invisalign® include a proven track record with millions of pounds spent on research and development. The appliance itself is a series of very thin clear aligners that are discreet and removable, allowing patients to continue to eat and clean their teeth normally, without any metal wires or brackets.

Stephanie from Stockton felt that her teeth had become prominent and irregular. Over the years this had started to bother her more and more, but she had been put off by the idea of wearing a traditional fixed metal brace until she discovered Invisalign® at Queensway.

She said: “I thought I was too old for braces, but after seeing the options for treatment as an adult, I was sold. I was over the moon with my new smile, and the result achieved, it’s a great feeling.”

Guy added: “There is a real synergy from working with the TIO network, enabling us to share best practice and new ideas, pushing the limits of what we can achieve for our patients.”

Dr. Grant Duncan, Co-Founder of TIO, said: “We are delighted that an orthodontist of Dr Deeming’s expertise and experience has joined the TIO network. By bringing together orthodontists from around the country and world with a special interest in Invisalign allows patients to get the best possible outcome for their smile correction.”

Dr. Guy Deeming is a specialist orthodontist registered with the General Dental Council and is a Platinum Certified Invisalign provider. He sits on the Clinical Advisory Board for Invisalign® as well as the Orthodontic Specialist Group, the Conference and Meetings Committees of the British Orthodontic Society and the editorial board of the Orthodontic Practice Journal. He is also a visiting specialist to the Orthodontic Department at Newcastle Dental Hospital.
