FLUOROSIS

White spots on teeth are fairly common and can have different causes. One cause is fluorosis, which happens when too much fluoride is consumed while adult teeth are forming. Another reason is decalcification, which is when minerals are lost from the enamel, often due to poor brushing during brace treatment, especially around the brackets. In rare cases, white spots can result from molar incisal hypoplasia, which may develop after trauma during infancy.
